But I still think in any real society they’d be dead meat for turning on their masters in public. They’d rather use the fight to conspire instead of trying to kill him before x-thousand witnesses.

On the one hand, I can understand why they’d want to turn on Angel and Dae: They were supposed to kill Morris, but they didn’t, leaving June and Raid at his mercy once he gets better. You can tell by Raid’s reaction there that he was even expecting a punishment from the father, even before Morris woke up to give his own.

Still, though, there’s the chance that Morris will learn his lesson from this (hah!), so them turning on Angel and Dae after this still leaves me with a bad taste in my mouth. And I mean that in the sense of the character, not the writing. The writing is fine–great, in fact. I’m just annoyed with the character for doing it.
