First, suspension of disbelief. Second, I think he’d have a few broken ribs, and several lacerations (the suit could protect him from those), and maybe a fracture or two in his skull. He wouldn’t be dead.
Yes he friggin’ would. You don’t just get a few broken ribs when you get hit with a club the size of a grown man, and careening about a dozen feet into the air and through what I suspect to be armoured glass (I don’t think they’d have glass at all if it wasn’t for some kind of protection, and normal glass breaks pretty easily, duh). If the suit was that good, nobody would die in these fights.
Suspension shmushpension. He didn’t even need to sit down for a while, he just bounced right back up. Even if he “only” had what you said he would, he’d still be at least knocked out.
And yes, I take my internets very seriously.
ITS A REALLY NICE CHAIR SHE GOT THERE! I mean shes sitting on his for how many panels now? and still hasn’t gotten off of it, it probably has a cup holder, or two, and don’t get me started on how it ties the whole room together.
They’re so calm about it. She didn’t even stand up when a grown man got spikey-baseball-batted into her booth. And he smiles and asks for her chair.
Also: agreeing with Rakmi, even Willing Suspension of Disbelief can’t allow this. He was flung into a large, solid, pointy object, then crashed through a pane of glass. Dude would have some major injuries. Lacerations and stab wounds, broken bones, possible internal bleeding, concussion or brain hemorrhaging… Either your comic takes place in a world extremely similar to ours (what it seems like so far) or you explain how the rules of this world make it so he’s not seriously hurt (the last few pages).
Dae’s Mastery of Furniture as Improvised Weapons returns!
[For those of you who find it odd, remember that he also stopped an explosion with a mattress]
Amazing expression on Dae! Well done Tatiana!
Indeed. Excellent work.
Sooo… he’s just fine now?
I don’t care what kind of super-future nanofuckmetechnology they’re using, he should be fokin’ dead, mate!

Penny gave him CPR when no one was looking.
I saw strings!!! it was staged!!! AH HA saw through that little magic trick of his!
Yeah, CPR is like band-aids. They cure EVERYTHING.
Dude… You know this isn’t real, right? It’s a STORY. Loosen up.
Dude… you know I already acknowledged that I’m taking this too seriously, right?
So, what, STORIES don’t need to be realistic?
NO DAE!!! DON”T HURT THE ANNOUNCER!!!
CAPS MEAN YELL! CAPS MEAN YELL!!!!!

I dunno, does it have those little wheels?

See? I’m not crazy!
I forgot to remind Tatiana to draw him bruised and limping.
I guess that’d be more realistic, if those suits really do protect the fighters from injuries. Still, Dae is one bad motha.
