Now before anyone tries to contradict this, let me remind you how many people have thought The Onion was a legitimate news source. Also, in times of war, governments will put out propaganda. What if they tried to make that stuff go viral in order to make sure their side of the story is heard more than the other’s? Plus people blogging their own opinions on the war. Add in photoshopped pictures and honestly, I figure it’d be easier to know what happened in the early 20th century than the late 21st after 100 years.

There’d also probably be a huge problem with plague and disease. That many people flowing into urban areas really generates so many problems – it’s rather ridiculous.
Hell, that sounds almost like news right now. I can’t imagine what it would be like 100 years from now, trying to look back at the past and using the internet, of all mediums, to figure it out. Yeah, good luck.
It would be like trying to figure Roman history based on wall inscriptions.
I just read all the archives and I love this comic. Go on with the good work.
Greetings from Spain. ;-)
Yeah, there was no way I’d contest that part. Since this already happens, I’d believe this comic in a heartbeat, if it weren’t for infinite energy.
(I also don’t actually know what The Onion is, but I get the gist of it.)
The enerfy was never infinite, it was just efficient.
Whatever. It’s basically infinite. >_>
Nope, and I won’t believe so even if you DO use the geass on me.
This does nothing to explain how introduction of slavery lead to building of Tnemrot. Did they have too many slaves or what?
I wonder if the war started in 2101.
Heheheheheheh.
That’s perfectly believable, but I’m just pretty sure that someone would at least know how long it lasted and who won. People do talk to each other, wars do have survivors.
I’ve heard the concept of an ‘information crash’ before. A good-sized EMP would wreck havoc with our records even before the problems of propaganda and misinformation got added to the mix.
I may be late to say that but, am i the only one who see that Tnemrot Is actually Torment reversed?
It took me ages to notice it. Someone else had to get it before I even looked for it to notice it. (That someone else being Anti-Geass Rakmi. >_>)
It’s the Geass Canceller, thank you very much.
Huh. So it is. I never really paid attention to what that looked like. >_>
Yes, and that is why you lose.
Well considering I’ve managed to colour-screw the geass with… Irfanview, to about 5 different things, and they’re just the ones I liked enough to keep, I just thought your picture was an upside down version of one of those. >_>
I have no idea what you’re talking about.
